this tuner has been used very little and with great care. The tuner locks in fast and if your instrument's pitch is stable, the bars settle quickly and stay put. the peterson strobe tuner is considered by many to be one of the finest tuner's on the market. The strobe has two concentric semi-circles which IMHO is a lot simpler to read that the old StroboFlip's 4 vertical strobe bars.
The strobe screen is much larger and brighter. The tuner also knows if you are hitting one string or all six, so no extra buttons to hit. It's a major step up from the StroboFlip in many ways. The Axe tuner is very fast and accurate! I also have a Peterson flip tuner (which is awesome BTW) the Axe tuner still responds a bit faster. Like mr.beatdoctor said wait till you at least get the Axe Fx and then make a decision.
